" When the strom calmed down...

spray water in the sky gathers

 as raindrop and drips down.

The last drop of water falls onto the leaf, 

stay in calm and peace.

When the sun shines through that raindrop, 

the beautiful reflections appears.

And,

there is only one angle 
when sunlight refract through

 which creates the most beautiful 
reflections called 'rainbow',

That is the 42 degrees. "

This is my first collection of Jewelry and also my graduation work in

Faculty of Industrial design,Chulalongkorn University,
Bangkok, Thailand.

  
This collections was inspired by the natural phenomeon of light,

the refraction and reflection that related to the shape of changing state of fluid.

Why fluid?  

I think fluid is interesting because its shape

can change anytime, due to the container or force or even gravity force.

When fluid is free,it performs such a unique shape and

 these kind of shapes are so hard to imitate by human's hand.

Moreover, each time the fluid is free,it performs the different shape

even actioned from the same force. 

Water,

 a good example of fluid and also a symbol of nature and pure,

so I choose to focus my study on changing state of water. 

Then I came up with an Idea of ' droplet cycle',the cycle of

water in rain process, so, this is the origin of three small collections.

  'Gath'

  'Drip'

   'Plash'

 

  

With main idea is to convey the beauty of nature from 
natural light phenomeon by the reflection of sunlight through jewelry
in the changing shape of fluid which made of glass filled with water.

When sunlight or other light source refracts into jewelry
made of glass,the transparent medium let the sunlight pass through

and then the sunlight travel to the water inside,refracts and reflects

through out itself and the glass to the air, and then, in the opposite site

of the light source, the reflection of light appears.

 

The most beautiful reflection or 'rainbow' appears when the light shines
toward the surface of water at 42 degrees.

 The essence of this collection is to create a precious moment
from jewelry,with the collaboration of sunlight glass and water.
During a day there is two duration, around 8.30-9.00am.
and  3.30-4.00pm.,which the sun shines toward the earth at 
42 degrees, jewelry wearer will see the reflections of the sunlight
and rainbow when stay towards to  the sun.

Jewelry in the shape of exaggerated form
of water drop gathers together.

'Gath' earring, the gathering of two water drop.

'Gath' each of water drop before the gathering.

'Drip'

Jewelry in shape of water drop,
gradually dropping repeatedly,create layers of water drop.

'Drip' necklace.

'Plash'

'Plash' collar, one big splash.
Jewelry in the shape of water splashing and turning into small drops.

'Plash' ring, water splash up by the reaction force toward gravity.

'Plash' bangle, one small splash.
